Gillian Horan

Gillian founded The Pudding in 2015. Before that, she lectured for ten years in entrepreneurship, marketing and strategic branding at the University of Limerick, Shannon College of Hotel Management and the Seychelles Tourism Academy. She still guest lectures.

The Pudding started in strategy, and grew an award-winning agency alongside it. In 2024 Gillian made a bold call. The Pudding exited the agency side to focus entirely on strategy.

Today she works at board level across Ireland and internationally, with CEOs, boards and private equity-backed businesses through growth and major change. She developed The Pudding Framework, the proprietary strategy model the practice uses.

She sits on the Board of Shannon College of Hotel Management, University of Galway, and on the Glenstal Abbey Advisory Board. She was a Non-Executive Director of General Paints Group (Colourtrend) and a board member of the Institute of Management Consultants and Advisors. She is a published author and a regular speaker. She has written for The Irish Times, the Irish Examiner and the Sunday Business Post, and contributed on Newstalk, Today FM and RTÉ.
